The Elusie Gallery Turns Entire 2025 Season into Fundraiser for Tapestry

EASTHAMPTON — At a time when the notion of diversity, equity, and inclusion is being challenged at the highest level of government, Jean-Pierre Pasche, owner and curator of the Elusie Gallery, which is part of Big Red Frame in Easthampton’s Old Town Hall, felt compelled to do something to show his and his business’s values and beliefs.

Mary Ann Kelly, one of the exhibitors of the 2025 lineup, suggested Tapestry Health, the local nonprofit organization that provides community-based healthcare, education, and support services.

“I have been a supporter of Tapestry for several decades, from the time of the AIDS crisis,” Kelly said. “I support them to this day because of the diversity of critical services they provide and the diversity of the clientele they serve.”

Pasche agreed this organization is the right fit for his own beliefs and commitment to supporting local organizations. He will donate proceeds from the art sales of all 2025 exhibits, including the current exhibit by Ruth Kjaer, “My Dream of Danae and the Golden Rain,” which ends Saturday, March 29. A donation box will be available at the gallery for people wanting to support Tapestry without purchasing artwork.

Kelly will follow Kjaer with “Quiet Joy,” an exhibit showcasing her original paintings, drawings, and sculptural art. The exhibit opens Saturday, April 5 with an artist reception from 4 to 7 p.m., which is part of the monthly Easthampton Artwalk, and runs through April 26, with a second reception planned for Thursday, April 24 from 5 to 7 p.m.
