The Good Dog Spot Supports Foundation for TJO Animals
CHICOPEE — The Good Dog Spot Inc., a local dog daycare and boarding center, will donate a check and supplies to the Foundation for TJO Animals from donations it collected in December. This check presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 2, ahead of Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week, April 13-19.
The Good Dog Spot takes a unique approach to pet care, prioritizing overall well-being over the traditional belief that dogs need constant play to be fulfilled. Instead of promoting exhaustion as a measure of success, it focuses on creating a balanced, customized experience that meets each pet’s individual needs. Their goal is to provide an environment where pets can thrive through personalized care, rather than a one-size-fits-all model of non-stop, high-energy play.
In celebration of Animal Care and Control Appreciation Week, the Good Dog Spot will recognize the efforts of the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, which works to ensure the safety and well-being of all animals, from rescuing animals in need to ensuring safe, healthy environments.
“The Foundation for TJO Animals is an easy choice for our donation because their mission aligns so well with our own,” said Elizabeth Staples, president of the Good Dog Spot. “The TJO team is a passionate group of people dedicated to improving the lives of pets in their care, and we deeply admire their commitment. Several of our own family pets have come from TJO. Every day, we provide care for pets who have such great lives and loving homes. We want to help give shelter pets that same chance — to find families who will cherish them and provide them with the love and care they deserve.”
