Thirteen Organizations Awarded Fallon Health Community Impact Grants for 2022
WORCESTER — Fallon Health announced the recipients of its Community Impact Grants for 2022. Thirteen community-based organizations from across Fallon’s service area have been awarded a total of $150,000 in grants to help fund innovative programs that focus on addressing food security and/or health initiatives for older adults. The grants range from $10,000 to $15,000.
One of the grants was awarded to a Western Mass. organization: Elder Services of the Berkshires in Pittsfield, specifically its Senior Wellness Nutrition & Safety Program.
“It has been an unprecedented year of need in the diverse communities we serve as indicated by the nearly 125 applications we received,” said Richard Burke, president and CEO of Fallon Health. “In response to the demand, we increased funding for Fallon’s Community Impact Grants program by $50,000. This allowed us to support additional community organizations who work tirelessly to care for our members and empower others in the community to live healthier lives.”
