Three County Continuum of Care Holding Collection Drive for Unhoused Individuals
GREENFIELD — The Three County Continuum of Care is holding a drive to support the creation of emergency summer cooling kits for unhoused individuals. The donations will help provide essential items to those in need, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable during the summer heat. Suggested items for donation include toiletry items, summer clothing, bug spray, and bottled water.
Collections will be held at Greenfield Public Library, 412 Main St., on Friday, July 26 from noon to 4 p.m.; and Forbes Library, 20 West St., Northampton, and Community Action Pioneer Valley, 393 Main St., Greenfield, on Friday, Aug. 2 during open hours.
The Three County Continuum of Care promotes and guides community-wide vision, strategy, and commitment to efforts to prevent and end homelessness, mobilizes funding, improves coordination and integration of mainstream resources and programs targeted to people experiencing homelessness through a housing-first model, and establishes systemwide data-collection and performance-measurement practices to ensure successful housing strategies and equitable housing for vulnerable populations. The organization’s geography includes Franklin, Hampshire, and Berkshire counties.
