Trinity Health Of New England Holds Series of Emergency-preparedness Drills
SPRINGFIELD — Trinity Health Of New England has begun holding a series of safety drills that will serve as training sessions on hospital preparedness for a decontamination event. The purpose of this drill is to fine-tune skills and review practices and protocols related to such an emergency decontamination event.
Mercy Medical Center in Springfield will conduct its drill on Thursday, June 17 at 1 p.m.
On a regular basis, Trinity Health Of New England runs safety drills at each of its facilities as part of its Emergency Preparedness Program. The drills prepare hospital staff across all disciplines for a variety of emergency situations. This series of drills may be visible from the outside of each hospital location. Regular hospital operations and services will not be affected or disrupted on any of the hospital campuses.
