Trinity Health Of New England Recommends Masking in Patient-care Areas

HARTFORD, Conn. — With safety as a top priority and in light of seasonal, viral respiratory illnesses, Trinity Health Of New England strongly recommends that colleagues, patients, and visitors wear a mask in patient-facing clinical settings throughout its hospitals and ambulatory locations.

Designed to support the health of patients and visitors, as well as colleagues, this recommendation comes as a result of the recent uptick in cases of upper-respiratory-tract illnesses that have been reported across Trinity Health Of New England facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts. While masking is not required at this time, the recommendation to mask follows CDC guidelines to reduce the spread of germs that may result in respiratory viruses and other infectious diseases.
