Vascular Surgeon Joins Wing

PALMER — Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers, a member hospital of UMass Medical Center in Worcester, recently announced the addition of board-certified vascular surgeon Sang Won Rhee, M.D. to its staff.

Rhee brings more than 30 years of experience to Wing. He served as chief of vascular surgical services at Baystate Medical Center from 1979 to 1999. At Wing, he will provide specialized care for patients with a wide variety of circulatory/vascular disorders.

Rhee is a graduate of the Seoul national University College of Medicine and a former lieutenant in the Republic of Korea Army Medical Corps. He completed his general surgery residency in Springfield in 1971, and was a fellow in vascular surgery at the former Springfield Hospital Medical Center in 1973.
