VNA & Hospice Nurse Honored As Manager Of The Year
NORTHAMPTON — The Home & Health Care Association of Massachusetts announced that Gina Mazza, R.N. is the winner of its 2004 Excellence & Outstanding Achievement Award as Manager of the Year.
The association presents awards yearly in six different categories to individuals who embody the best and the brightest in the home health industry in Massachusetts. The Manager of the Year honor is awarded to a manager who has demonstrated leadership, compassion, and strong managerial skills in the supervision and mentoring of staff, setting and achieving goals, and improving the delivery of care.
Mazza is the clinical/quality director at the VNA & Hospice of Cooley Dickinson in Northampton. She is responsible for the operations of both the visiting nurse and hospice programs. Under her leadership, the VNA & Hospice of Cooley Dickinson achieved remarkable improvement in the areas of clinical competency, quality initiatives, and staff morale.
