Webinar to Address Risk of Harm from Proposed Online Casino Gambling

SPRINGFIELD — As Massachusetts considers legalizing internet casino gambling through H.4431, the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts will present a free webinar on Friday, Jan. 9 at noon about what these changes could mean for public health and local communities.

Speakers include Mark Gottlieb of Northeastern Law’s Public Health Advocacy Institute, Victor Ortiz from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Office of Problem Gambling, and state Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa. The discussion will be moderated by Jessica Collins, executive director of the Public Health Institute of Western Massachusetts, and attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions during a live Q&A.
