West of the River Collaborative COVID-19 Vaccination Site Offers Walk-in Availability

WEST SPRINGFIELD — The West of the River collaborative COVID-19 vaccination site at the Eastern States Exposition is now open for walk-ins between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Individuals will register on site, and should bring their insurance information and valid identification. Those without insurance can still get a vaccine at no cost.

The West of the River Collaborative is administering the Moderna vaccine. Therefore, individuals must be age 18 or older to be eligible for this vaccine. Anyone experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 should not come to the site.

Those arriving for a walk-in appointment should expect delays and understand they are required to stay at the site for at least 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine.
