WestMass ElderCare Celebrates Raises More Than $12,500 with Online Auction
HOLYOKE — WestMass ElderCare (WMEC) announced that its Fabulous 50th Online Auction, which ran Aug. 8-30 in celebration of its 50th anniversary, raised more than $12,500 thanks to the generosity of community sponsors, donors, and bidders, surpassing the fundraising goals for this first-time event.
“We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible response from our community,” said Roseann Martoccia, executive director at WMEC. “This fundraiser not only marked a milestone in our 50-year journey, but also helped raise essential funds to support the critical programs and services that benefit older adults and individuals with disabilities across our region.”
As WMEC celebrate its 50th anniversary, it is engaging local communities to ensure that its mission continues for the next 50 years. With funding struggling to keep pace with inflation and rising operational costs, fundraising events like this have become increasingly essential to sustaining its programs. The support of our community enables WMEC to fill gaps and continue empowering individuals to age with dignity and independence.
