William A. Darity Sr. Black Men’s Health Forum, ‘Bridging the Gaps,’ Slated for Oct. 22
SPRINGFIELD — The first annual William A. Darity Sr. Black Men’s Health Forum, titled “Bridging the Gaps,” will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the UMass Amherst Center at Springfield, located at 1500 Main St.
Presented by Beta Sigma Boule and Baystate Health, the program will feature presenter Dr. Christopher Lathan, chief Clinical Access and Equity officer, Christopher and Constance Hadley Family chair, and associate chief medical officer, director at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; and network associate professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
The event is free and open to the public; however, space is limited, and registration is requested by clicking here. Attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and $5 validated parking at the Tower Square garage. This is an in-person event that will follow Massachusetts public-health guidelines. For the health and safety of others, unvaccinated people are asked to wear a mask.
