Wingate at Hampden Receives National Quality Award
HAMPDEN — Wingate Healthcare, a provider of senior living communities, including post-acute and long-term skilled-nursing care, assisted living, independent living, and memory care, announced that Wingate at Hampden was recognized as a 2016 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, presented by the American Health Care Assoc. and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
This award is in recognition of the facility’s dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care. Wingate at Hampden was one of three Wingate Healthcare facilities recognized this year. The award program honors centers across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
“Wingate at Hampden is proud to be recognized for our commitment to quality care by AHCA/NCAL,” said Kevin LeClaire, administrator at Hampden. “Improving the quality of life for our residents through exceptional care is our priority each and every day, and I’m proud of our staff’s dedication and commitment.”
Wingate at Hampden is a 100-bed skilled nursing facility, serving the community for 10 years. The facility features a specialized, secured dementia-care program in which trained professionals offer care, rehabilitation and personalized treatments for seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other age-related memory or brain disorders. Its unique music-therapy program, led by a certified music therapist, personalizes individual and group music classes to promote wellness, manage stress, alleviate pain, enhance memory, improve communication, and provide unique opportunities for interaction.
“I applaud the women and men of Wingate at Hampden for their commitment to improve quality care,” said AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers Chair Christine Boldt. “This award is the first step in a program that serves as an essential guide to performance excellence. I encourage Wingate at Hampden to continue their quality journey.”
The awards will be presented during AHCA/NCAL’s 67th annual convention and exposition in Nashville, Tenn. on Oct. 16-19.
