WMNC to Offer Educational Advancement Open House for RNs
HOLYOKE — The Western MA Nursing Collaborative is hosting an RN Educational Advancement Open House for student and working nurses on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baystate Whitney Avenue Conference Center, 361 Whitney Ave., Holyoke. This event is for student nurses nearing graduation and incumbent nurses interested in advancing their education.
Admissions counselors and nursing faculty will provide enrollment information and answer questions on advanced-degree programs at American International College, Bay Path University, Elms College, UMass Amherst, and Westfield State University. Featured keynote speaker Nancy Shendell-Falik, president of Baystate Medical Center and senior vice president of Hospital Operations for Baystate Health, will deliver a presentation on her professional journey, “From RN to President,” beginning at 6 p.m.
Supervised activities will be available for children ages 4-12. All attendees will be entered to win a $500 scholarship toward their nursing textbooks.
