WNEU to Host Regional Social Work Conference May 27
SPRINGFIELD — Western New England University will host the 33rd Regional Social Work Conference on Wednesday, May 27 from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Keynote speaker Linda Sanford, a social worker, author, and trauma-treatment specialist, will present “Strong at the Broken Places: Resilient Survivors and Their Workers.”
Social workers, alcohol counselors, licensed mental-health counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, and educators may earn six CEUs at the conference, and also update their knowledge of current social issues, find solutions and techniques to better service clients’ needs, reconnect with colleagues, build resources by networking with other professionals, and nurture and renew themselves and their commitment to the profession.
