AdCare Hospital Earns Behavioral Healthcare Accreditation

WORCESTER — AdCare Hospital has earned behavioral healthcare accreditation from the Joint Commission (TJC). The industry’s gold seal of approval, TJC accreditation recognizes that AdCare Hospital has demonstrated compliance with performance standards and is committed to providing quality patient care in a safe manner.

“Surveyors from the Joint Commission thoroughly evaluated the processes and work that we do at AdCare Hospital and our outpatient facilities,” said CEO Jeffrey Hillis. “They observed and interacted with AdCare employees throughout our organization, all of whom play a crucial role in our success.”

The nation’s oldest and largest accrediting body in healthcare, the Joint Commission develops standards to help organizations such as AdCare measure, assess, and improve performance.

“Throughout the year, our employees work together to develop and implement approaches to improve care for the patients we treat,” said Hillis. Areas of focus include treatment and services delivered, environment of care, and the screening procedures AdCare uses to ensure quality patient care and safety.
