AdCare Hospital Welcomes Gunderson to Staff

Elizabeth Gundersen, MD has joined the medical staff at AdCare Hospital in Worcester.

Gundersen comes to AdCare Hospital from a position as a hospitalist at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

A graduate of William and Mary College and the Medical College of Virginia, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at UMass Medical School, Worcester.

In addition to her background and credentials in Primary Care and Family Medicine, Gundersen has experience in Addiction Medicine, including the treatment of opioid dependence, and is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, said Dr. Ronald Pike, medical director at the hospital.

Before undertaking her medical education and training, she taught elementary school in Baltimore and English in Central America.

Gundersen presently holds an assistant professor faculty appointment in the departments of Family and Internal Medicine at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
