Baystate Health Adopts Patient, Visitor Code of Conduct
SPRINGFIELD — Consistent with recent guidance from the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Assoc. (MHA), Baystate Health has adopted a Patient and Visitor Code of Conduct (baystatehealth.org/conduct). This document sets an expectation of respectful behavior for patients and their visitors that helps maintain a healing environment for all.
Baystate Health is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, equitable, and respectful environment for its patients, employees, and visitors. Doctors, nurses, and other employees are expected to treat patients and visitors with courtesy and respect as outlined in the Baystate Health Code of Conduct. Patients and visitors are asked to extend that same level of courtesy and respect to all employees when visiting or receiving care at any of Baystate’s hospitals, clinics, or doctors’ offices.
