Baystate Wing Auxiliary to Sponsor Luncheon, Jimmy Mazz Performance

STURBRIDGE — The Baystate Wing Hospital Auxiliary invites the community to a luncheon and performance featuring singer and entertainer Jimmy Mazz, to be held at the Sturbridge Host Hotel, 366 Main St., Sturbridge, on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“At the special event, Jimmy Mazz, well-known as an enthusiastic entertainer who captivates audience members with his genuine warmth, candid humor, amusing parodies, and velvety smooth voice, will perform many classic favorites by various singers including Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck, and Tony Bennett, to name a few, as he performs a dynamic tour of America through song,” said Jacqueline Mitchell, auxiliary treasurer. Money raised by this event will help to continue the work of the Baystate Wing Auxiliary, which actively supports healthcare in the region.

Tickets are $30 per person and will include a menu of chicken piccata, tossed green salad, rolls and butter, vegetable napoleon, roasted red potatoes, apple crisp with ice cream, coffee, and tea. A cash bar with beer, wine, and soft drinks will also be available.

“Through their fund-raising efforts in the gift shop and special event sales, the auxiliary members and volunteers have actively supported local healthcare in the region by offering scholarships to local graduating high-school seniors who are pursuing their education in the field of healthcare,” said Teresa Grove, auxiliary president and Philanthropy officer for the Baystate Health Eastern Region, which includes Baystate Wing and Baystate Mary Lane Outpatient Center. “In 2017, they will award scholarships to students from Pathfinder, Monson, Palmer, Ludlow, Belchertown, Wilbraham, and Ware High School.”

Tickets can be purchased in the Baystate Wing Hospital Gift Shop, located at 40 Wright St., Palmer, open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; by calling Joan at (413) 245-1156; or by e-mailing Mitchell at jacquelinejmitchell@charter.net.
