Baystate Wing Hospital Welcomes Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth Jarry to Cardiology Practice

PALMER — Baystate Wing Hospital recently welcomed nurse practitioner Elizabeth Jarry, CNP to its cardiology practice located at Baystate Wing Hospital.

“We are very excited to have Elizabeth join our team,” said Dr. Brian Laliberte, chair of Cardiology at Baystate Wing Hospital. “Her skills and knowledge will complement our care team and help us meet the growing cardiology needs across the many communities we serve.”

Jarry earned her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from American International College. She is currently affiliated with Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, serving as an advanced practitioner in the cardiology outpatient clinic and stress test lab.

“I have been with Baystate Medical Center since 2008 and have decided to continue my career with Baystate as a nurse practitioner because of its renowned and innovative reputation in the Heart and Vascular Program as well as overall job satisfaction,” Jarry said. “Over the years, I have gained valuable knowledge and growth with advancement in the organization. I started as a student nurse in the Emergency Department and progressed to a registered nurse working in the ED, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and InterCare units, as well as a clinical nurse supervisor, before obtaining my degree as a nurse practitioner.”

Jarry served in the U.S. Army, where she provided care to U.S. soldiers. She also taught health and oral hygiene in Iraqi villages, assisted medical teams during mass-casualty situations, and provided ancillary assistance to medical providers in a combat support hospital in Balad, Iraq. She currently serves as clinical faculty for American International College students in the Family Nurse Practitioner program.

“I chose to transfer to Baystate Cardiology at Wing because I can serve the community I live in while expanding my knowledge by working alongside highly respected experts in a collaborative team approach,” she said. “I look forward to getting to know my patients at Baystate Wing. I have a special interest in preventive cardiology and hope to make a difference in our patients’ wellness and overall health.”
