Benchmark Senior Living to Host CEU Breakfast on Compassion Fatigue

SPRINGFIELD — Benchmark Senior Living will host a CEU breakfast presentation on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Caroline Bixby, a licensed independent clinical social worker with Bill Johnson Staffing and Consulting agency, will present on “Compassion Fatigue: What It Is and How to Deal with It.”

Healthcare professionals of all disciplines have experienced unprecedented levels of stress in the past few years, resulting in burnout and compassion fatigue. Bixby will address the causes of compassion fatigue and what people can do about it in their personal and professional lives. Social workers and nurses will receive one CEU for attending.

The presentation will be held at La Quinta Inn & Suites, 100 Congress St., Springfield from 8:30 to 10 a.m. This free event is open to the public, and reakfast will be provided.
