BHN to Benefit from Big Y Community Bag Program at St. James Avenue Location

SPRINGFIELD — Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) has been selected by local Big Y store leadership as the benefiting nonprofit for Big Y’s Community Bag Program. For the month of August, BHN will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 reusable Big Y Community Bag purchased at 1090 St. James Avenue in Springfield.

The Big Y Community Program is an easy way for shoppers to give back to the local community and the environment as part of their regular shopping routine. Every month at every Big Y location, a different local nonprofit is selected to benefit from the sale of the reusable Community Bag.

According to Steve Winn, BHN president and CEO, “Nonprofits at the local level, like us, are in need of community support. This program offers the perfect solution to multiple issues of the world today, including to help reduce single-use plastic in the environment.”

BHN is a regional provider of comprehensive behavioral-health services for adults, children, and families, and serves those with life challenges due to mental illness, substance-use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Across all programs, BHN offers support, guidance, and tools that help individuals make positive changes and live fulfilling lives.
