BMC Physical Therapist Honored

PITTSFIELD — The Physical Therapist Assistant Consortium of New England has presented Diane Barrett, PT, with its Clinical Faculty Award.
Barrett is the supervisor of Outpatient Rehabilitation and the Physical Therapy clinical supervisor at the Center for Rehabilitation at BMC. The annual award recognizes and honors physical therapy clinicians who have improved the quality of clinical education or physical therapy assistant students in New England through excellence and innovation in clinical teaching and student mentoring.

Barrett was honored with a surprise ceremony at the center’s outpatient gym in the BMC Medical Arts Complex, and was presented the award by Mary Vrabel, who directs the clinical programs at Berkshire Community College, and Michele Darroch, program director for BBC’s Physical Therapy Assistant program. Barrett was given a plaque to commemorate the honor.
