CHD Cancer House of Hope to Host Oct. 19 Workshop on Immunotherapy
WEST SPRINGFIELD — The Center for Human Development (CHD) Cancer House of Hope will host a workshop called “Using the Immune System to Fight Cancer” on Wednesday, Oct. 19, part of the Cancer Education Series presented by the Sister Caritas Cancer Center.
Dr. Philip Glynn, medical director at Mercy Medical Oncology and the Sister Caritas Cancer Center, will discuss immunotherapy, an emerging method of cancer treatment that alters a patient’s own immune cells to attack cancer.
The program, slated for 5:30 p.m. at the Cancer House of Hope, 1999 Westfield St., West Springfield, is free and open to the public. However, registration is requested by calling (413) 733-1858.
