Cooley Dickinson Announces Nursing Scholarships

NORTHAMPTON — Cooley Dickinson Hospital announced scholarship opportunities for area students who display scholastic aptitude and passion for the nursing profession. Effective immediately, the hospital’s Development Office invites applications for two scholarships, the Cooley Dickinson School of Nursing Alumni Scholarship and the Louise Finn Nursing Scholarship.

The Cooley Dickinson School of Nursing Alumni Scholarship is awarded to a senior attending high school in Northampton who is pursuing a career in nursing. Additionally, a child, regardless of age, who is pursuing a career in nursing and is the child of a current Cooley Dickinson Health Care employee is invited to apply for the Louise Finn Nursing Scholarship.

Each applicant must submit a competed application and a 750-word essay. The essay should explain why the applicant wants to pursue nursing as a career, how their goals demonstrate their commitment to healthcare and the community, why they would like to receive the scholarship, and what relationship they have with Cooley Dickinson.
