Cooley Dickinson Reverts to Original Visiting Guidelines
NORTHAMPTON — Cooley Dickinson Hospital is lifting its temporary, restrictive visiting policy effective immediately.
The more restrictive visiting policy was put in place in mid-February in response to increased numbers of people being admitted to the hospital with seasonal flu. While people are still getting the flu, Infection Prevention Nurse Manager Linda Riley said the numbers of people testing positive for flu are much lower.
Riley encourages people who are sick to stay home from work or school. To help prevent the spread of infection, she reminds everyone to clean their hands often, especially before eating and after using the bathroom.
