Cooley Dickinson to Host ‘A COVID Year — Challenges & Resilience’ on March 25
NORTHAMPTON — Cooley Dickinson Hospital invites community members to a livestream event, “A COVID Year: Challenges & Resilience,” on Thursday, March 25 at 1 p.m. Join the event by clicking here.
“This commemorative event is to both grieve those we have lost and celebrate the small wins,” said Angela Belmont, chief Nursing officer at Cooley Dickinson, adding that those small wins surround us today and are a testament to how we continue — more than one year later — to take care of our community amidst the continuing pandemic.
Speakers include Dr. David Brown, Cooley Dickinson’s interim CEO; a patient treated for COVID-19 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and staff representing the Critical Care Unit and the Emergency Department; the Medical/Surgical units; operations teams; and the VNA & Hospice. A plaque presentation and a moment of silence will follow the perspectives shared by each of the speakers.
“There were so many challenges this past year,” Belmont said. “We need to celebrate and remember all that our staff did for our patients and for each other.”
For those unable to attend the livestream event as it is happening, a recording will be available next week.
