Cooley Dickinson to Present February Lecture Series on Heart Health
NORTHAMPTON — Cooley Dickinson invites the public to attend one — or all four — of its upcoming lectures timed to coincide with American Heart Month.
The kickoff event, on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. in the Dakin Conference Room at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, will feature a lecture titled “Women, Heart Disease, and What You Should Know in 2018,” by Dr. Nandita Scott, co-director of Mass General Hospital’s Corrigan Women’s Heart Health Program and assistant professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
The following three Thursday events, all at 6 p.m., will be held at Hampshire Cardiovascular Associates, 22 Atwood Dr., Northampton. On Feb. 8, Dr. John Rodriguez will discuss “High Blood Pressure and Atrial Fibrillation – What the New Guidelines Mean for You.” On Feb. 15, Dr. Gaurav Rana will address “Aneurysms and Peripheral Artery Disease Treatment.” And on Feb. 22, Dr. Ali Haider will present “Non-surgical Aortic Valve Replacement.”
As the leading cause of death in women and men, heart disease is also controllable and preventable. These discussions will help attendees understand what they can do to reduce their chances of heart disease. To register, call (413) 570-4900.
