Dr. David Wexler to Discuss Infections and Allergies on Dec. 3

PALMER — Baystate Health’s Senior Class will hold a free seminar on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event, titled “The Nose Knows,” will be held in the Snow Conference Room at Baystate Wing Hospital, 40 Wright St., Palmer. 

“We welcome our community members to join us for this seminar offered by Dr. David Wexler, an ear, nose, and throat specialist at Baystate Wing Hospital who has been serving the community there for over a decade,” said Susan Fontaine, senior coordinator of Loyalty Programs at Baystate Health.

Wexler is a graduate of Stanford Medical School and the Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Iowa. After specialty training, he entered military service, where he attained the rank of major and was appointed chief of Otolaryngology at the R.L. Thompson Strategic Hospital in Texas. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, which covers the full span of ear, nose, and throat medical and surgical care in patients of all ages. 

Wexler will lead a discussion that will focus on common nasal and sinus symptoms, how they are evaluated and treated, as well as tests used for diagnosis and the many treatments available.

Baystate Health Senior Class is a free loyalty program dedicated to health and wellness, offered exclusively for men and women ages 55 and over. “The Nose Knows” is offered at no cost, and a light lunch will be served.
