Fallon Health Applauds Signing of Dole Act
WORCESTER — Fallon Health welcomes the signing of the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare Benefits Improvement Act by President Biden. This legislation establishes a formal partnership between Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) organizations and Veterans Affairs medical centers that are within the service area of the PACE program.
“We commend President Biden and the legislature for their leadership and commitment to improving veteran and caregiver support,” said Manny Lopes, president and CEO of Fallon Health. “These individuals have sacrificed so much for their country and deserve the highest quality of life possible as they age. By expanding access to PACE through the Dole Act, we can provide even more veterans with an innovative, affordable, and successful healthcare program option.”
Kristine Bostek, senior vice president of PACE programs at Fallon Health, said the company has long been dedicated to advancing PACE and is eager to help more veterans in their preferred setting, at home or in their communities.
“The research shows this innovative model, which employs home and community-based services, helps improve outcomes and enhances the quality of life for participants. We firmly believe the signing of the Dole Act will have a profound impact on the health and well-being of our veterans and their caregivers.”
