  • FMC Receives ‘Best Practices” Award

GREENFIELD — Franklin Medical Center received the ‘Collaborative Sharing of Best Practices Award’ at the recent ‘Celebrating Hospital Quality in Massachusetts’ event sponsored by Masspro in Waltham.

Masspro is a leading performance-improvement organization dedicated to enhancing the value of health care by creating and spreading innovative solutions across all areas of the health care delivery system. Gina Campbell, director of Quality, Risk Management & Medical Staff Affairs for Franklin Medical Center, collected the award on behalf of the hospital and the staff who participated in the Masspro Quality Improvement Collaborative over the past two years.

Staff participants included Campbell, Judy Richardson, Performance Improve-ment coordinator, and members of Franklin’s Surgical Site Infection Prevention Project team (SSIPP), who presented their experience of best practice at FMC.

Franklin Medical Center and other Massachusetts hospitals received the award for assisting the spread of performance improvement by sharing their experience with the collaborative, providing skilled staff to present their experiences, and supporting listeners to share lessons learned to improve care.
