PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Health Systems (BHS) recently announced the appointment of four new members of its Board of Trustees. The new appointees, all serving three-year terms, are:
• John R. Kearns, M.D.: Vice chairman of the Department of Surgery at BHS, Kearns has practiced general and vascular surgery since 1981. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Kearns serves as interim director of the Berkshire Medical Center trauma program, and is a clinical assistant professor of Surgery at UMass Medical School;
• Robert P. Wespier, M.D.: A diplomate of the American Board of Internal medicine, Wespiser practices at Suburban Medical in Lee, a position he has held since 1986. He has been the associate medical director for the Berkshire region for Health New England since 2001, is a physician advisor to the case management department at Berkshire Medical Center, and provides occupational health services to Kimberly Clark Corp. in Lee.
• Timothy C. Doherty, CPA: A partner with Lenox-based Doherty & Stuart, PC, Doherty has served as a selectman in that community since 1997. He is a director of the Lenox National Bank and a trustee of the Lenox Visiting Nurse Assoc. He previously served on the BHS and Berkshire Medical Center Board of Trustees from 1993 to 2001, and was chairman from 1997 to 2000.
• Brian Fairbank: Co-owner, president, and CEO of Jiminy Peak Inc. since 1974, Fairbank, along with his partner, recently purchased Brodie Mountain Resort, for which he also serves as president and CEO. He is currently chairman of the National Ski Areas Assoc. and has been town moderator for Hancock since 1974. |
