Goodman Vein and Laser Center Relocates

SPRINGFIELD — Dr. Robert Goodman, vascular surgeon, has recently relocated the Goodman Vein and Laser Center from Mercy Hospital in Springfield to a renovated facility at 66 Morgan Road, West Springfield.

Goodman opened the Goodman Vein and Laser Center at Mercy Hospital in 2003. The Goodman Vein and Laser Center is the first vein center in Western Mass. to offer comprehensive care to patients suffering from varicose veins and vein disease.

As a vascular surgeon and member of the American College of Phlebology, specialists in vein disease, Goodman is trained to treat varicose veins and other vein diseases by utilizing the most current and comprehensive diagnostics and treatments available. Goodman’s distinctive approach to vein disease is that it is a medical condition requiring multiple treatment options, making individual patient care plans possible for successful treatment.

The Goodman Vein and Laser Center provides thorough vascular evaluations, ultrasound diagnostics, in-office laser ablation of the saphenous veins, laser ablation of perforator veins, ambulatory phlebectomy, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, injection sclerotherapy, and surface laser for spider veins. Vein stripping and ligation is available as an in-hospital alternative.

Goodman is chief of Vascular Surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. He is on the active staff at Holyoke Medical Center and Baystate Medical Center and is the vascular consultant at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
