Henrichon Joins Staff at Quabbin Adult Medicine

BELCHERTOWN — The Urgent Care Clinic, a Baystate Medical Practice, announced that Dr. Barbara Henrichon, has joined the staff in providing fast, convenient outpatient urgent care for children and adults.
Henrichon earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from UMass Amherst and her master’s from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.  She completed her doctorate of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
She has held a number of leadership positions while living in New York, including president of the Rochester Chapter of the National League for Nursing. Henrichon served on the board of directors for the United Way, developed and implemented a New Visions Medical Careers Program for high-school students, chaired the search committee for the current dean of Nursing at St. John Fisher College in New York, and held numerous undergraduate and graduate teaching positions in New York and Massachusetts.
The Urgent Care Clinic is located in Baystate’s 95 Sargent St. facility, which features a number of other Baystate Medical Practices, including Quabbin Adult Medicine, Mary Lane Ob/Gyn, and Mary Lane Orthopedics. In addition, a number of community specialists are available to see patients at 95 Sargent St., as well as the Baystate Mary Lane Hospital Radiology and Laboratory Patient Service Center.

BMC Cardiology Welcomes Lyle
PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Health Systems announced the appointment of Dr. Henry Richard Lyle, a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist, to the medical staff of Berkshire Medical Center and the physician staff of Cardiology Services at BMC.
Lyle is accepting new patients in need of cardiology care, practicing at both the North Adams and Pittsfield offices of Cardiology Services at BMC. He is partnered with Drs. Jeffrey Leppo, Kyle Cooper, Kristen Currie, David Finck, Peter Hahn, Douglas Herr, William Levy, Lisa Massie, Andrew Potash, Mara Slawsky, and Georgianne Valli-Harwood. Lyle will primarily be providing care out of the North Adams office of Cardiology Services at BMC, in collaboration with Herr and Potash.
Lyle came to the Berkshires after serving for many years with Riverside Medical Group and Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, and previously worked with Hillcrest Cardiology, also in Lowell, and a cardiology practice in Silver Spring, Md.
He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. Lyle was fellowship-trained in cardiology at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston and fellowship-trained in interventional cardiology at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California at Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

Burkman Named Clinician of the Year
Springfield— Dr. Ronald Burkman Jr., a board-certified physician in obstetrics and gynecology with Baystate Wesson Women’s Group Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center, was recently named by more than 1,100 Hampden District Medical Society peers as the district’s 2013 Community Clinician of the Year. The award recognizes a physician who has made significant contributions to patients and the community and who stands out as a leading advocate and caregiver. From 1995 to 2007, he was chairman of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Medical Center. Since 1995, he has been a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
