HOLYOKE — The Holyoke Medical Center Oncology/Hematology Depart-ment, in partnership with The American Cancer Society, invites all cancer survivors, their families, and caregivers to an all-new cancer support group.
Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in HMC’s Main Conference Room on the first floor of the hospital.
Being respectful of each person’s individual coping strategies, support-group organizers would like to offer a safe, comfortable, and encouraging environment for cancer survivors and those newly diagnosed cancer patients and their families and caregivers, so they feel supported as well as receive valuable information, share dialogue, and continue on their journey toward optimum wellness.
The group will be supported by a staff of health care professionals who understand the need to offer genuine wellness support to all cancer survivors.
All programs and services are free of charge and open to all cancer patients and their families and caregivers.
For more information or to register as a member of the group, contact Maureen Nomakeo at (413) 534-2543.
