HNE, SPHS, Announce Agreement

SPRINGFIELD — Health New England (HNE), a locally based managed care organization in Western Mass., recently announced that services throughout the Sisters of Providence Health System (SPHS) will now be offered to all members of HNE.
The agreement is an expansion of an existing agreement with the SPHS. Prior to this announcement, SPHS services were available only in selected HNE products. Now, all HNE members will have choice and access to services at Mercy Medical Center, Weldon Rehabilitation Hospital, Providence Behavioral Health Hospital and Brightside for Families and Children. HNE serves more than 90,000 members in the Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin and Berkshire counties.
“We welcome the members of Health New England to the Sisters of Providence Health System,” said Vincent J. McCorkle, president and CEO of SPHS.
