Holyoke Hospital Names Nurse Managers

HOLYOKE — Holyoke Hospital recently announced the appointment of Donna Barre, R.N., and Lisa Fugiel, R.N., as nurse managers.
Barre has been named nurse manager of the South 3 West medical/surgical and orthopedic unit. She has been employed by Holyoke Hospital since 1987, first as a licensed practical nurse, then as a registered nurse, and most recently as a clinical coordinator in Nursing.

She is a graduate of Dean Vocational’s LPN program and Holyoke Community College, and holds an associate’s degree in Human Services from Springfield Tech-nical Community College.

Fugiel has been named nurse manager of the South 3 East medical/surgical pediatric unit. She has worked at Holyoke Hospital since 1991, as a staff nurse and clinical coordinator. During her tenure at the hospital she has also worked as a nurse educator.

Fugiel obtained her bachelor of science in Nursing degree from Salem State College and her master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. She also holds ANCC certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing and is a certified AHA CPR instructor-trainer.
