Holyoke Mall to Host Pop-up Vaccination Clinic on Dec. 18

HOLYOKE — In an effort to make vaccines more accessible to the community, Holyoke Mall is partnering with the Holyoke Board of Health and Behavioral Health Network to host a free pop-up COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinic.

“Following the success of the previous Saturday clinic at the Holyoke Mall, we’re happy to return this Saturday, December 18, for another event,” said Sean Gonsalves, director of Health for the City of Holyoke. “These clinics are a convenient way to get a COVID-19 vaccine, a booster, or a flu shot for yourself or your family while you do your holiday shopping. The vaccine has been approved for individuals aged 5 and up, and is free of charge.”

The clinic will offer Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines and boosters; Pfizer pediatric doses; and flu shots. It will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the upper level of Holyoke Mall, across from Billy Beez. Appointments can be made by clicking here, but are not required.

“We are pleased to continue to partner with the Holyoke Department of Health and BHN in an effort to make vaccines easily accessible,” said Lynn Gray, Holyoke Mall’s general manager. “As we prepare to spend time with our loved ones for the holiday season, we are proud that Holyoke Mall can play a role in helping to keep our community safe with these pop-up vaccine clinics, along with the Curative testing site on property.”

Masks will be required when receiving the vaccine. The vaccine is free for everyone and does not require identification or health insurance.
