‘Let’s Talk about Vaccines’ Workshop Slated for April 13

NORTHAMPTON — Area parents are invited to join local pediatrician Dr. Jonathan Schwab as he presents a free workshop, “Let’s Talk about Vaccines: Helping Parents Make the Right Decisions for Their Children,” on Wednesday, April 13 at 6 p.m.

The workshop will explore various diseases vaccines can prevent, how vaccines work, and what information parents need in order to make the right decision for their child. There will be time to answer questions and address concerns.

Schwab has been a pediatrician at Northampton Area Pediatrics for more than 25 years. He completed his pediatric residency and a chief residency at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. While being a general pediatrician, he has particular interests in sports medicine and infectious diseases. He is currently the medical director at Northampton Area Pediatrics and chairman of Pediatrics at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

The workshop will be held in the Community Room at the Midwifery Center, the yellow house on the campus of Cooley Dickinson Hospital. The event is free and open to all, and babies are welcome. For more information, call (413) 586-9866, ext. 9.
