Linda Manor to Host ‘Successful Aging Summit’ June 28

NORTHAMPTON — Linda Manor Assisted Living and Linda Manor Extended Care in Northampton will host the second “Successful Aging Summit” on Tuesday, June 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The day’s events are free and include a continental breakfast at Linda Manor Assisted Living, 345 Haydenville Road, Leeds, followed by a keynote address at 10:15 a.m. by Dr. Beth Warner, medical director at Linda Manor.

Morning sessions beginning at 11:30 a.m. include presentations on “Talking to Your Healthcare Providers about Sexuality,” “The 411 on Joint Replacements,” “How to Prevent Sore Soles,” and “Alternate Medications for Older Adults.”

Following a barbecue lunch, afternoon sessions starting at 1:45 p.m. will include “Alzheimer’s 101,” “Helpful Tips from the Social Security Administration,” “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “Easy Core Strength Exercises You Can Do at Home.”

Afternoon sessions beginning at 2:15 p.m. include “How to Prevent an Identity Theft Crisis,” “Getting Prepared: Key Estate Documents,” “Talking to Your Doctor: How to Get the Care You Deserve and Desire,” and “Innovative Fall Prevention Programs: The Otago Approach.”
