Local Trainer Releases Children’s Book to Inspire Kids to Unplug, Get Active
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Longtime personal trainer and fitness studio owner Peter Samberg has released a vibrant new children’s book, Fitness is Fun, designed to help kids discover the joy of movement and imagination away from screens.
In this playful and engaging story, two siblings take a break from their devices and dive into an afternoon of imaginative, active play. From superhero sprints to animal-inspired exercises, Fitness is Fun shows that getting active can be a blast — and, better yet, it can be done anywhere.
“I wrote this book to help kids — and their families — see that fitness doesn’t have to mean a structured workout,” Samberg said. “Movement can be as simple as running, jumping, or pretending. The important part is getting off the couch and having fun.”
Samberg has been a certified personal trainer for more than 20 years and runs One on One Fitness Studio, where he helps adults in his community stay healthy and motivated. Now, he’s bringing that same passion for wellness to younger audiences with a message of balance, creativity, and play.
Fitness is Fun is now available on Amazon.
