MA Hospitals Sign On To Quality Effort
BOSTON — The Mass. Hospital Assoc. (MHA) recently reported that nearly 70{06cf2b9696b159f874511d23dbc893eb1ac83014175ed30550cfff22781411e5} of the state’s acute care hospitals serving adult patients have signed on to the Quality Initiative, the most sweeping, comprehensive, and voluntary effort to allow the general public to access hospital quality measures.
More of the state’s hospitals are expected to sign on in the coming months.
More than half of hospitals nationwide have signed on to the voluntary program, which was designed by the American Hospital Assoc. (AHA), Federation of American Hospitals, and Assoc. of American Medical Colleges.
