Monark to Conduct Class in Essential Oils
UDLOW — Monark Complementary Health LLC will conduct a Home Essentials Class on June 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., teaching participants about the use of essential oils in the home for health and sickness prevention.
The course will be taught by certified clinical aromatherapy practitioner Monica Gagnon, who will explain that aromatic plants that produce essential oils have healing properties. She will discuss the properties of true lavender, eucalyptus globulus, red mandarin, and tea tree essential oils and how to safely use them for everyday health.
Gagnon has been a registered nurse for 19 years and has been involved with health promotion and prevention for more than a decade. Working in critical care, emergency care, and rehabilitation has given her the experience to work with a variety of patients. She is a certified practitioner in clinical aromatherapy from R.J. Buckle Associates, LLC.
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for therapeutic purposes. Clinical aromatherapy can be used for hospice care, pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, autism, hormonal imbalance, and menopause, she notes.
The cost is $70 and includes essential oils. Call (413) 204-1546 or e-mail monark1320@hotmail.com to reserve a space. The session is limited to 15 participants, and registration is required by June 8.
