Murphy Named Nursing Director At Fairview Commons

GREAT BARRINGTON – Fairview Commons recently announced the appointmenr of Eileen Murphy as director of nurses and leader of its team of nursing professionals.

Born and raised in Charlestown, Mass., Murphy began her career working as a nursing assistant then went on to graduate with the class of 1977 from Youville Hospital in Cambridge as an LPN. After spending time in Boston hospitals, her path led her to a long-term care facility in Connecticut where she became an RN.

Finding her footing on this pathway of care, she progressed to supervisor and eventually was promoted to assistant director of Nursing before coming to Fairview Commons.

Fairview Commons is part of Berkshire Healthcare, a non-profit organization that owns and operates 17 skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in Massachusetts, Ohio and Pennsylvania. It also owns Kimball Farms Continuing Care Retirement Community in Lenox.
