Ober To Manage Emergency Services
HOLYOKE – Jay K. Ober, RN, of Springfield has been named manager of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Holyoke Hospital.
Ober has been employed at the hospital since 2000, first as an educator for Critical Care and the Emergency Department, and later as an interim nurse manager.
He holds an associate’s degree in Science and Nursing from Springfield Technical Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Science and Nursing from UMass, and a master’s in Science and Nurse Practitioner from Ball State University in Indiana. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in research.
Ober also is a graduate of the Leadership, Management, and Officer Training program at Air University, U.S. Air Force, Montgomery, Ala.; and the Flight Nurse Training Program at the School of Aerospace Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. He is the chief of Air Crew Training and a flight nurse instructor for the Air Force at Westover Air Force Base.
