Open House Scheduled for Opioid Treatment Program Renovation
SPRINGFIELD — The Sisters of Providence Health System (SPHS) announced completion of a $500,000 project to renovate the Opioid Treatment Program at Providence Behavioral Health Hospital. The project is designed to improve the delivery of patient services by providing additional privacy and a more comfortable care environment.
A celebration and blessing of the program at is set for Monday, April 4, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the hospital.
Providence Behavioral Health Hospital operates a robust continuum of substance-use-disorder treatment programs and is the only provider in the region that has an inpatient Acute Treatment Services (detox) unit, a range of outpatient services from prevention programs to intensive outpatient program, and the full range of medication-assisted treatment options for opioid-use disorder, including its flagship program, the Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program, that serves almost 1,000 clients each day in two locations.
