Orchard Valley to Host Presentation on Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia

WILBRAHAM — Orchard Valley at Wilbraham will host an informational presentation conducted by the Alzheimer’s Assoc. about communication strategies for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, May 23 at Orchard Valley, located at 2387 Boston Road, Wilbraham, from 4 to 5 p.m. This free event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Communication is more than just talking or listening. This workshop will explore communication changes throughout the course of the disease progression. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to decode verbal and behavioral messages and identify ways to connect and communicate through the stages of dementia.
