Playful Minds Learning Center to Take Over Arbors Kids Programs in Chicopee

CHICOPEE — Playful Minds Learning Center announced it will take over operations of the Arbors Kids childcare center beginning on Monday, April 5. Playful Minds will retain the Arbors Kids Director Nicole Cava, in addition to other staff, and continue to offer before- and after-school care, as well as the popular summer-camp programs at the Chicopee location.

Founded in 2012 in Longmeadow, Playful Minds Learning Center currently operates four childcare centers in the state as well as one in Connecticut. Its philosophy is to gently foster and guide each child’s love for learning while providing developmental support in all areas. At Playful Minds, children learn to accept, respect, and embrace other children and people’s differences while they develop emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Through a nurturing, structured, and creative environment, children build the self-esteem and confidence they need for life.

“We utilize an early-childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore through play and the world around them,” said Paige Thompson-Westcott, owner of Playful Minds Learning Center. “Through a wide range of activities and experiences, we provide an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills. We are proud to build on the legacy of the Arbors Kids in Chicopee and move forward into the future.”
