Providence Place at Ingleside to Host Open House on Sept. 29

HOLYOKE — Providence Place at Ingleside is hosting a festive “Celebrate Fall” Open House on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. While there, visiting seniors, along with families and friends, are invited to tour the independent-living retirement community. Marketing Director Laurie Hoey will host the event with assistance from the residents of the retirement community.

Visitors will tour Providence Place’s model apartment and chapel, where Mass is offered daily, as well as its welcoming piano lounge just outside the formal dining room that offers residents a restaurant-style dining experience.

Other tour features include the library and computer room, an exercise room, and the coffee shop. Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the residents’ program and activities calendar as well, which features free programs and activities ranging from exercise, tai chi, and yoga classes to painting classes, poetry and meditation groups, and performances from guest entertainers.

There are two cloister gardens outside, and a stroll of the grounds, particularly one by the in-ground pool and bathhouse at the rear of the property, is recommended. Reservations are not necessary, and refreshments will be served.
