Ruth’s House Lunch & Learn Series to Tackle Orthostatic Hypertension on July 20

LONGMEADOW — Orthostatic hypotension can be concerning as it can appear as a stroke as well as contribute to falls, especially in the elderly.

At a Lunch & Learn event presented by Ruth’s House Assisted Living Residence on Wednesday, July 20, this common condition will be presented in an educational way by on-site physician Dr. May Awkal, to help attendees better understand proper diagnosing as well as discussing treatment options. An open discussion will follow for those who have questions.

This is a hybrid event, with on-site participation as well as a virtual component for those who are unable to come to the campus.

The event will begin at noon with a welcome and networking, followed by the presentation and Q&A session from 12:15 to 1:15, and a raffle and tour. RSVP to Mary-Anne Schelb at (413) 935-1791 or mschelb@jgslifecare.org. A confirmation plus Zoom invite will be emailed prior to the meeting.
